Ever since the stage released in Smash 4, I always thought that the Kart alert on Mario Circuit 8 sounded like Amy's Hammer from Sonic the Fighters. When lietening to snd_se_stage_MarioKart_kart_alert in isolation you can tell they're not identical, but the similarity is undeniable. |

As far, as there are only 2 voicelines from the game. I do believe, there might be more on the way. (Plus, someone has to get the gamerip of the voicelines in the Ruin DLC and also the Help Wanted 2. As it feels empty without em.) |

That supposed "what" is actually Kirby yelling 「あちい」, which is "hot" in Japanese. You can also hear similar Japanese exclamations in the voice clips for when Kirby gets hurt by an electric attack - those ones have Kirby saying「びりびり」, which is Japanese onomatopoeia for electric shocks, akin to a "Bzzt!" sound in English. |
